Works For Me Wednesday

Works For Me: Linen Closet/Towel Storage

As all of my children are young, we have tons of children's books that have been scattered all over the house, and Logan was tearing them up. So, I decided to empty the towels from the linen closet in their hallway and neatly (you know my OCD) arrange all the books in there and put a safety lock on the door so they can't get in their without adult supervision. What did I do with the towels you ask? I put them in the cabinet under the sink in their bathroom. It was empty since I don't store chemicals in there, so it worked out perfectly. Now when I am bathing them I have extra towels within easy reach if needed. I had extra room, so I also moved their underwear under there (since one is potty trained but has an occasional accident and the other is just starting to potty train we go through a lot of these), and their socks so they can get them and put them on themselves. This has worked well and saved my frustration of the books everywhere. Now they are safe and sound in their new home:-)

Good solution! I love finding new ways to store & organize! Warning: we put my son's socks & underwear in a cubby on his wall so he could have easy access. When he had an accident, he'd pull out a fresh pair of underwear, and shove the dirty pair back in the cubby! Underwear is now in highest drawer.

Great thinking. Just cuz they call it a linen closet doesn't mean ya gotta keep towels and linens in it...
