WFMW: Backwards Edition
Okay y'all. I have been thinking hard about this one. Stop laughing, I really have! I was all set to share a tip I heard from my mom about using an eraser on your windshield to keep it from fogging up, but I will save it for next week;)
So, here is a potty training question. My kids range from 2-5 in age, the oldest has some medical issues that prevent his complete potty training at the moment, but he can handle his needs as long as he is in a pull up. The middle one is potty trained, the youngest, not. We were at the store yesterday on our way out and the oldest two had to potty. I had items that could not be left unattended (Medication) in the cart, so I could not go in with them, and couldn't take the merchandise into the rest room. So, I sent them into the ladies room, parked the cart (with the youngest in it) outside the door, and stood holding the door open so I could see them. Normally, they can hold it an entire trip (I take them in when we arrive), and this was the first time they couldn't. How do you ladies with multiple young children (mine are all boys) handle this?????
Thanks;)

ahhhh. I feel your pain, sister!
I have 3 boys too, but now my oldest is 10 and can accompany his younger brother in the mens' room while I stand guard outside the door counting the seconds!
When they were younger I do recall using the ladies room at the back of the store (Wal-Mart) and asking an associate to keep my cart for me.
I hope someone else can help you more.
To be honest sometime I use the Disabled Toilet if I know we aren't going to be long as at least you can get everyone in there with the trolley
Your solution is the best I've found in those situations. Sometimes I just check to see if there is anyone else there, then I can let them go in by themselves. Many stores have a "family" bathroom now, and I love those!
I'm right there with you with my three boys. My 8 year old would die a million deaths if he had to go in the ladies room. I to just park the buggy right at the door of the mens room and stand guard. If the youngest has to go and the other two dont then I admit to allowing the oldest to stand guard at the ladies room and not to move or punishable by death (maybe not that harsh).
This is an issue I have struggled to figure out since my 3 one was born. I look forward to coming back and finding someones brilliant idea. :)
don't go anywhere!
ha! just kidding.
I like your plan- sounds like you handled that one well.
If the potty situation ever arises- I'm usually at the mall and can use a family bathroom. I haven't had to use one at the grocery store yet, however, I don't often go to the store with all 4 of my kiddos.
okay, I'm no help, but enjoyed hearing what others had to say.
blessings!
